Florence Bishop

Florence is an emerging artist and illustrator. Her passion is creating original, story-driven characters. In developing designs, Florence considers costume, setting and posture to ensure her characters are fully realised and believable.

Her work is grounded in study of animation and illustration techniques, fashion and costume research, and the history of graphic art. Working across digital and traditional media, Florence draws from life wherever possible, including the undraped model.

Florence has attended regular life drawing classes for several years working in texta, charcoal, pencil and digital media. She has completed numerous short courses at the National Art School, Sydney.

Florence is highly proficient in Procreate, Adobe Illustrator and Blender. She also has experience in Adobe Photoshop.

Florence is currently working on original character and environment designs for a retailing of Red Riding Hood, based on Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and set in the 1920s.

Previous projects have included storyboard concepts and designs for an original animation combining her love of animals, zombies and physics.
